As a child, I always loved to draw (but I think almost every artist says that). In my teens, I was especially fascinated by manga and anime. That's when I started to take drawing a bit more seriously.
Since my heart still beats for the anime/manga world, I continue to draw in this area, for example I fulfilled my wish and painted my living room wall in manga style (my boyfriend is thankfully very tolerant about it).
Manga drawings evolved into illustrations, and now I enjoy combining animals in surreal settings or generally painting surreal images. The illustrations, in particular, have led to several cover design commissions. However, in the end, I didn't enjoy that as much as free, unconstrained painting.
